User Guide

Indexation is the process of analyzing data gathered by search engine crawlers on a website. Then documents are added to search engine’s searchable index.

To be indexed, a page should be accessible for crawlers. Serpstat checks the pages for the following errors:

  • canonical errors;
  • flash elements;
  • iframes;
  • disallowed pages in robots.txt - make sure that the right pages have been disallowed from indexation;
  • pages with “noindex” meta tag - make sure that you have set the noindex tag on the right pages
  • too little text on page.
