Serpstat Affiliate Program: How Does It Work?
Setting goals
Our company builds Amazon Affiliate websites for our clients. The process looks like this: we create a website from scratch, set it, optimize it, and hand it over to our clients. Serpstat is an integral part of fulfilling our primary goals. Most often, we use Serpstat service for:
Analyzing sites for technical issues that slow down traffic growth.
Checking backlinks of our project to find toxic links.
Carrying out a content audit to find additional opportunities for growth.
Recently, we received a project from our former client. It is a micro-niche website in power tools and the hardwood floor industry. The site was doing pretty well in SERPs:
Organic traffic before
The site was getting 150-170 traffic per day on average, but we wanted to increase it. Our goal was to make the website and content recognizable and readable.

We set a basic plan for on-site work. Below I'll cover all the steps we made using Serpstat.
Analyzing sites for technical issues
A technical SEO audit is a headstart for any SEO project - it is a comprehensive site test for internal issues and requirements of search engines. Serpstat Site Audit allows you to find errors, fix them, and speed up the website's growth by identifying and correcting technical issues.

Try Site Audit here:
We added our website to the list of projects and started the audit. The main issues I paid attention to were mate tags, content, multimedia, indexation, and links.
Meta tags
It's an essential part of any content-rich website. Site Audit allowed us to figure out missing descriptions, duplicate issues, too long description tags, and duplicate H1 tags. You can click on any issue and get recommendations on how to fix them. The tool also notes the corrected issues since the last audit on the site.
Content
Serpstat checks demo text existence, which is a unique feature. We often create website pages using Lorem Ipsum text and forget to remove or replace it with the original version, so this feature is crucial for us.
Multimedia
After the audit, I found out that the site had 50+ large images. We checked all of them and re-optimized each photo properly according to Serpstat recommendations so that our client can use them on the website.
Indexation
Indexation is an essential factor to check. The canonical issue, thin content pages, and robot.txt issues all are covered in that part. We noticed 19 pages are marked noindex. If you don't want to index any pages, why do you still keep them on the website? Until it's helpful in any way like tags or categories. And for a micro-niche website, 10-20 pages marked as noindex look odd. We went through all of them and removed a few, which are unnecessary to keep in the database.
Links
Links are another crucial segment for the audit. We noticed 40+ nofollow internal links that are unnecessary to be kept. It was a serious error, so we had to remove the code and fix it again.
Serpstat audit covers many more segments like HTTPS Certificate, server parameters, and other essential points. Those come out fine that moment, so we won't cover them individually. You can read more about Site Audit features here:

Checking backlinks of our project
Links have a direct impact on the site position in SERPs. We used the Serpstat Backlink Analysis tool to control the quality of our backlinks and control the link mass's growth dynamics.
Note that Serpstat has its own Backlink Index! We index the links ourselves, regularly update the data so that only the latest garbage-free data is always available in the index. At the moment, we have more than 1 trillion backlinks for 170 million domains.

Personal demonstration
Our specialists will contact you and discuss options for further work. These may include a personal demonstration, a trial period, comprehensive training articles, webinar recordings, and custom advice from a Serpstat specialist. It is our goal to make you feel comfortable while using Serpstat.
Serpstat Backlinks report provides general information on the backlink analysis module: referring domains and subdomains, backlinks leading to the analyzed domain, referring homepages, IP addresses, and subnets, and the unique indicator of domain authority. We checked our client's domain using the tool:
It gained around 118 referring domains. But still, the SDR (Serpstat Domain Rank is an indicator of domain authority on a scale from 0 to 100) is not higher than it should be. It shows that the links are not that powerful.

We checked the Referring domains report and sorted the links based on SDR using report filters.
We found out that more than 50 referring domains are below 20 SDR, and around 14 links were from PBN sites. Overall, we cut off 30-40 domains from the link profile, which we found not worthy of keeping, which may be the reason behind this traffic stagnation.

Next, we checked our domain using other Backlink Analysis reports: Anchors, Top pages for Page SEO, Active and Lost backlinks to make sure the rest of the things are performing well. You can learn more about Backlink Analysis features here:

Carrying out a content audit
Our goals also included performing a content audit for the website. The first step is to figure out the list keywords that are doing well for the specific pages. For this, we can use the Top pages and Tree View reports.

To see all website pages in hierarchical order and their organic keywords, go to Web Analytics → Domain Analytics → SEO Research → Top Pages.
Tree View report allows you to see website pages and keywords by which they are ranked in search engines. Go to Web Analytics → Domain Analysis → SEO Research → Tree view.
This way, you can find a list of active URLs that bring you the biggest traffic and the keywords they rank for. You can use Missing Keywords and Related Keywords reports to find more keywords for search engine optimization of your articles.

One more report will be handy here: go to Keyword Research → Content Marketing → Search Questions. This report allows you to find more content ideas. This list contains all interrogative search suggestions concerning the keyword you are looking for. These are the queries that pop up under the search bar as you start typing your query. These are questions asked by your target audience on Google, and they can be easily used in content marketing.
Serpstat also has the Text Analytics tool that is a unique tool for optimizing text on site pages. Content is one of the main ranking factors, and this tool was created to assist in optimizing on-site texts. For example, pages of your site are poorly ranked by desired keywords. This means that you need to change the content of the page to increase its text relevance. This is where you need Text Analytics, which creates a recommendation base for content optimization.

Our results
It took around 5-6 weeks to implement the plan and task we listed. We all know SEO is not an overnight process. So after two months, we saw a significant improvement. It's excellent because the growth of a niche site is extraordinary. It went up to an average of 400 daily visitors from 150 visitors.
Here is the latest status of this website. Even after Google Core update, the traffic is stable and also growing.
So, we reached the following goals:
1
We found technical issues that impeded the traffic growth of our site.
2
Checked our backlink profile to find toxic links that spoiled our rankings.
3
Carried out a content audit to find additional opportunities for growth.
4
Found more content ideas using search queries of users.
Conclusion
Thanks to regular analysis of our site using Serpstat, we are always aware of how to improve our rankings, make a content audit, or check technical issues of our site.
