How to Track the Rankings for the Top 100 Websites for Any Period

Mariia Vasylieva
Customer Support Specialist at Serpstat
Most of the rank tracking tools show only the current rankings of your website for the list of keywords you added. It's awkward because you can't track the position changing of your website and competitors' ones. There is no sense in tracking just one domain, the best solution here is tracking top-100 SERP results, and so that compare your website's positions with competitors' ones.

Serpstat doesn't monitor your domain's position for a keyword, it monitors a keyword and saves data about all 100 domains that are ranking for it. In this article, I'll try to cover all the features of Serpstat Rank Tracker that might go unnoticed.

How to start rank tracking?

To get top 100 search results for the particular keywords first, you need to do is to set a rank tracker for a website. There's nothing to it, let's look at how to do it step-by-step.
1
Go to the list of projects in the online keywords position checker tool and click on "Create a project."
2
Enter the project name and the domain you want to track in the pop-up window. You can also create a project group or choose from already created ones.
3
After your project is successfully created, click on "Start tracking" button.
4
Then you'll get to the rank tracking settings where you can:

  • choose a search engine, country, and region in which you want to track the positions;

  • choose how often you want us to repeat the tracking process;

  • grant a guest access to your project;

  • add a list of keywords you want to use for tracking.
Just follow the step-by-step instructions:
5
Don't forget to add a list of keywords and divide them into groups (optional) at the 3rd step:
