Serpstat history

Since 2013, Serpstat has been providing its clients with data for promotion in search engines. Here is how Serpstat has been developing:

SEO analyst Oleg Salamakha, working on the tasks of the Netpeak digital marketing agency, creates the Prodvigator tool, tailored for search analytics. The tool team consists of 5 people, the office is located in Odessa, Ukraine.

The tool is gradually being supplemented with new features, keyword selection and competitor analysis are separated into separate tools and become the first commercial options in Serpstat's arsenal.

The tool adapts to the US and European markets and gets a new name and becomes completely independent, Serpstat. The Search Analytics tool is replenished with Competitors options in ppc and search, pages, keywords, etc. Keywords and sites can be analyzed using 11 search bases, and the keywords base grows to 97 million queries.

This year, the Rank Tracking tool appears with the ability to check a site's rank and rank history, as well as assess the traffic share on the market. Also, the reports of the Link Analysis modules (with options for assessing referring domains, searching for anchors and top pages) and Site Audit (with basic features) are released. Technical audit: checking meta tags, server response codes, headers, redirects, etc.).

A tool for clustering and text analytics appears; a favorite tool for content marketers and SEO specialists of large projects, which allows you to group large arrays of keywords to create a site structure.

Serpstat team is joined by CEO Ekaterina Kabakova, the main focus of her work is creating conditions conducive to the growth and development of the product :)

Meanwhile, the service is being upgraded to 167 databases and 478 million keywords, a search analytics API option is being added, and the ability to analyze mobile traffic is being added to the Rank Tracking tool.

This year, the Serpstat team took a trip around the world, collecting 230 SERP databases from all Google regions (we even have a map with flags in the office). Our databases contain 5.57 billion keywords and 1.52 billion keywords in SERP.

Launch of Rank Tracking 2.0 on React, as well as creating our own backlink index and API for analyzing external links.

Complete transfer of the tool to React: we work with data even faster. We developed a new algorithm for cleaning databases and counting traffic in order to obtain the most accurate data and launched a SERP Storm to track changes in Google. Now it's clear whether the algorithms are changing or the site is growing in the search results.

Launched batch analyzes of domains and keywords for 100,000 keywords.

Active development of the Link Analysis tool: reporting on malicious sites, outgoing and redirecting domains, and updating page link data.

The Serpstat team employs 90+ people, ensuring the smooth operation of the service and customer information support every day. We have released Trending Requests and are planning other updates. Despite the war currently taking place in our country, we continue to develop the product, helping clients achieve their marketing goals and fueling the economy of Ukraine.
