Position History Import
You can import your historical keyword positions into Rank Tracker to continue tracking progress even if you previously used another tool.
How to import:
- Download the CSV template. Use it as a guide to structure your data correctly.
- Prepare your file. Fill in your historical keyword data following the template format.
- Select a region. Choose the region where your data will be imported for accurate position tracking.
- Import your file. Upload the CSV (maximum size: 10 MB). Imported data will appear in your project within 15–30 minutes.
File Format Requirements
- Supported format: CSV only
- Maximum file size: 10 MB
- Data structure: Vertical layout
Each file must contain the following columns:

url | The URL that appeared in search results | Optional |
position | Ranking position (can include N/A, 0, or –) | Optional |
You can import keywords for multiple regions into a single project. However, each import must be performed separately for each region (batch imports for multiple regions are not supported).
The file must have a vertical structure: each row represents one combination of keyword, date, and position. If a keyword has positions on different dates, add a separate row for each date.
