Backlinks
"Backlinks" report is presented in the form of a graph and a spreadsheet.
The graph shows changes in the number of backlinks. Active links are shown in green, and lost links are shown in red.
The «Backlinks» spreadsheet contains the following metrics:
Link source / anchor where the link to the analyzed site was found. The second line and green font indicates the anchor itself.
Link attributes. It shows what attribute the link has:
Follow — indexed link, without additional attributes or explicitly specified follow attribute;
Nofollow — the link contains the nofollow attribute; tells search engine bots not to follow the link;
UGC — the link contains the ugc (User generated content) attribute; indicates to search engine robots that the link was posted by users (comments, forum posts);
Sponsored — the link contains the sponsored attribute: indicates to search engine robots that the link is advertising (banners, press releases, paid links).
External links — the number of external unique links from the page specified in the «Source» column.
Link Type — shows the specific link type. Possible options:
href — the most common type of link, as a rule, contains an anchor;
redirect — pages redirecting to the pages of the analyzed site;
frame — src value in iframe;
from the form — action value in form;
canonical — link rel="canonical" from another host to the analyzed one;
from rss — link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" to the analyzed one;
from alternate tag — link rel="alternate" to the analyzed one;
image — the link is embedded in the image.
Domain Rank. SDR, it shows the rating of the referring domain.
The authority score can vary from page to page on the same site. This is due to the different update date of each link.
Target Page. The URL of the page that the link leads to.
First indexed, last indexed. The dates when the crawler first found the link on the page and when it last checked for its presence and relevance.
Also in the «Backlinks» report you can:
1. Copy the data to the clipboard.
2. Set up the report display convenient for you — you can select the columns you need to display in the report.
3. Filter the report.
4. Export in the required format.
To export to Google (Sheets, BQ), connect your Google account to Serpstat. Then, exports will be done only to the connected account. You can change the account for export by changing the account email in Settings or disabling access directly through Google Settings.
5. Serpstat Recrawling URL Tool — tool for updating or adding information about page links by Serpstat bots. If you want to recrawl the URLs, just press the button in the upper right corner to start scanning and specify the pages of sites to crawl. The link data will be verified within 1 day.
The number of pages to check is 500 URLs per day. The remaining credits are not summed up, but expire.
6. Send feedback — opens the support chat for sending suggestions for improving or reporting an issue.
7. Tutorial — the button will direct you to the tutorial for the report.
8. Switch to the «Lost backlinks» report. The report is a spreadsheet with a list of links to the analyzed site that were not found during re-checking.
The structure of the report is completely similar to the «Active backinks» report, the only difference is the third date value in the last column: loss is the date when the Serpstat bot stopped detecting the link.
9. Switch «One per page / One per domain». The «One per page» mode is enabled by default. When switching, the spreadsheet will display only one link from each domain.
10. Apply quick filters and sorting.
