Find out for what keywords your website is ranking for. Enter your domain and see the list of keywords with:

  • your position in SERP for a given keyword;

  • keyword search volume of the last month according to Google Adwords;

  • CPC (the amount of money you would spend if you bid on this keyword in ads);

  • level of competition;

  • number of search engine results to the given keyword;

  • and finally the URL the keywords from this report lead to.
Competitors

Enter your domain and see the list of your online competitors based on the keywords your website and your competing ones use in SEO. To exclude Wikipedia, YouTube and other websites that have dozens of content on different topics (and that's why are shown as competitors almost for all websites), you can sort the list by relevance and get the list of valid competitors.

Let's look at how it works, on the screenshot below I was searching for the competitors of the popular online store amazon.com. Now we know top-5 competitors of our domain, so that let's pass to the next feature using which we can compare our website with the competitors' ones.
Domain vs Domain

As I've already said, here you can set side-by-side comparison of 3 different websites. Your website is automatically added to the first box, your task here is to choose competitor's domain from the suggested list below by clicking on this or that one or enter any domain manually.
After several seconds, you'll see the diagramme with the common/unique keywords of the given domains. Analyze the unique keywords of your competitors and use them while optimizing your website.
Subdomains

Here you can see a full list of subdomains of your or competitor's website with the organic keywords they are ranking for.
Tree view

Using Tree view you can easily find the URLs with the keywords these pages are ranking for, that have a great potential to be pushed to the top of the search results. Go to Domain Analysis, click on Tree view, choose filter "Domain's position for a keyword", then set "the interval from 11 to 20 at "between" parameter:
After clicking "Apply", you'll see the list of URLs and keywords they are ranking for. Searching for the pages that can be pushed to the top manually takes a lot of time, but if using Tree view tool it takes several seconds. Now you just need to set up internal linking for these pages using these keywords in anchors.
PPC Research:
Special for PPC experts, we created a separate module with all data about contextual advertising. In this module you can get the whole list of keywords the queried domain bids on in Google AdWords with the position, volume, cost per click and competition level in percents is displayed. As well as in SEO research, you can see the list of your competitors in contextual advertising and carry out a side-by-side comparison of the domains.

Moreover, we store all add copies that pop up in Google SERP for the keywords the queried domain bids on in Google AdWords. To see them go to "Ad Examples" feature.
Batch Analysis
If you need to analyze a bunch of websites at once, use our special feature "Batch analysis" that lets you analyze up to 200 domains. Enter the list of the domains you want to conduct an analysis for and tick the metrics you want to analyze and specify the search engines. After a while you'll get the results of the analysis in a table with an option to download it in any format you like.
Infographics:
Here you can see and save the overall information on your domain in the form of infographic. It's handy and useful for reporting e.x. The data includes:

  • the number of keywords the website ranks for;
  • their dynamic;
  • main competitors in search.

Keyword Research

There are lots of features that are present both at Website analysis and keyword research. So that here I won't dwell on that features that were already discussed in the previous part.
Top Pages

"Top Pages" feature is available both for website analysis and keyword research tools. So that you can enter your domain and get a list of your top pages, as well as you can type your niche keyword and find out which of your competitors' pages receive most traffic and make yours even better.

This unique feature allows you to easily identify your niche competitors by topic or by clustered keywords. And while Google Analytics can only analyze single keyword, we give you analysis for the whole cluster of keywords. Enter your keyword into the search box, go to "Top Pages" tool that is at "SEO Research." Here you'll see the list of pages that are at the top for a given keyword with:

  • keyword quantity in SERP for this query;

  • number of social media shares;

  • potential traffic (number of visits that page will receive if it will hold 1st position on SERP for a keyword).
Search Questions

To create relevant and demanded content, you should spot searching trends and give the answers to questions that users ask search engines. Using "Search questions" feature you can find the trendy questions in several clicks. Search questions are variations of the suggestions in the form of questions that pop up when you enter a keyword into the search bar.

Serpstat shows all possible search suggestions that include question and looks for it in real time. Enter the keyword you want to search for to the search box, go to "Keyword Research" module, then choose "Content marketing" and finally click on "Search Questions". All questions are divided into groups according to the question word the query includes. Now you just need to answer this questions in your articles and watch how your content moves to the top :)


Audit: analyze up to 20 000 pages monthly

Technical SEO Audit is a process for evaluating the healthiness of a website in a number of areas to optimize search engine visibility, usability and conversion. You shouldn't wait until your website gets a filter from search engine to conduct an audit. SEO audit is very similar to taking your car to annual inspection. So that you should carry out it on a regular basis to make sure that your website is working properly.

To start checking your website, go to Audit module and click on "create project".The new project will be added to your project list, now click on "Start Audit". Before audit starts, Serpstat lets you set the settings so that you are in charge of your limits and time. You can:

  • choose the number of threads or in other words, define how many crawlers will analyze the website simultaneously. Some servers will block access if you set the number too high, so if you're not sure about the server settings, stick to the recommended number, which is 5 threads;

  • set page limit based on the size of your website;

  • decide whether to check subdomains or not (you may focus only on your main domain and don't waste your money on subdomains if they are not important for you. Or you can set it to check subdomains to expand the analysis area;
  • and finally select User Agent crawler (User Agent provides a website with an info about your browser and operating system. You may switch between 6 available users to avoid being banned).
The results of website audit will be displayed at the "Audit summary" and also at your "List of projects".
There you'll see SDO (Serpstat Domain Optimization) Score and errors divided into several groups by the priority level. SDO Score is our own metric that shows how well your domain is optimized. It's is a correlation of the errors we found to the total number of errors possible. The score also depends on whether the errors found are critical or not. The higher score, the better.

Errors are divided according to their priority level (high, medium, low), click on any of them to see the list of errors with our tips how to fix them:
By clicking on "More details", you'll see the spreadsheet with the detailed analysis. For example, let's click on "Server status code: 4xx" error details, here we see the spreadsheet with links that lead to pages that return 4xx status code, status and number of links:
You can export this data and use it any way you want.

We also display the errors according to their type, so that you can use any division you want or use both of them. There are 9 types of errors in Serpstat audit:

  • HTTP Status Code;
  • Meta Tags;
  • Headings;
  • Redirects;
  • Accessibility & Indexation;
  • Links;
  • Server Parameters;
  • HTTPS Certificate;
  • Using the hreflang attributes.
Click on any group and see the list of errors sorted from the most crucial to less important ones. After you've fixed some of the errors, you can repeat the audit to check whether you did everything correctly. If yes, this errors will appear at the "Fixed" group.

Loading speed

This tab shows how well your site's mobile and desktop versions are optimized in terms of loading speed. Here you'll the the list of parameters we check and points we recommend you to pay attention to.

Custom overview:

Special for those users that are not interested in some errors and don't want them to affect the overall score, we added a special feature called "Custom overview". Here you'll find the whole list of data received from your website rather than just errors as in other Audit features. So that with "Custom overview" you are in charge of your website's audit choosing only parameters you need.

Rank Tracker: 200 keywords + 10 projects

Position monitoring is an important part of SEO analysis. Track your rankings to see how your SEO efforts impact on rankings, find out which pages and keywords bring you the most traffic, understand what's causing changes in traffic and sales and so on. With Serpstat's Rank Tracking tool you can:

  • monitor Top-100 domains for each keyword. Serpstat doesn't monitor your domain's position for a keyword, like most of its alternatives, it monitors a keyword and saves data about all 100 domains that are ranking for it .
