Search Analytics: 4,000 queries per day + 500,000 export rows per month

Website Analysis/SEO Research
1
Positions
Find out for what keywords your website is ranking for. Enter your domain and see the list of keywords with:

  • your position in SERP for a given keyword;

  • keyword search volume of the last month according to Google Adwords;

  • CPC (the amount of money you would spend if you bid on this keyword in ads);

  • level of competition;

  • number of search engine results to the given keyword;

  • and finally the URL the keywords from this report lead to.
2
Competitors
Enter your domain and see the list of your online competitors based on the keywords your website and your competing ones use in SEO. To exclude Wikipedia, YouTube and other websites that have dozens of content on different topics (and that's why are shown as competitors almost for all websites), you can sort the list by relevance and get the list of valid competitors.

Let's look at how it works, on the screenshot below I was searching for the competitors of the popular online store starbucks.com. Now we know top-5 competitors of our domain, so that let's pass to the next feature using which we can compare our website with the competitors' ones.

Domain vs Domain
As I've already said, here you can set side-by-side comparison of 3 different websites. Your website is automatically added to the first box, your task here is to choose competitor's domain from the suggested list below by clicking on this or that one or enter any domain manually.
Domain VS Domain report
After several seconds, you'll see the diagramme with the common/unique keywords of the given domains. Analyze competitors and their unique keywords and use them while optimizing your website.

5
Tree view
Using Tree view you can easily find the URLs with the keywords these pages are ranking for, that have a great potential to be pushed to the top of the search results. Go to Domain Analysis, click on Tree view, choose filter "Domain's position for a keyword", then set "the interval from 11 to 20 at "between" parameter:
Tree view filter
After clicking Apply, you'll see the list of URLs and keywords they are ranking for. Searching for the pages that can be pushed to the top manually takes a lot of time, but if using Tree view tool it takes several seconds. Now you just need to set up internal linking for these pages using these keywords in anchors.

In this module you can get the whole list of keywords the queried domain bids on in Google AdWords with the position, volume, cost per click and competition level in percents is displayed. As well as in SEO research, you can see the list of your competitors in contextual advertising and carry out a side-by-side comparison of the domains.

Keyword Research

There are lots of features that are present both at Website analysis and Keyword research. So that here I won't dwell on that features that were already discussed in the previous part.
Top pages
Top Pages feature is available both for website analysis and keyword research tools. So that you can enter your domain and get a list of your top pages, as well as you can type your niche keyword and find out which of your competitors' pages receive most traffic and make yours even better.

This unique feature allows you to easily identify your niche competitors by topic or by clustered keywords. And while Google Analytics can only analyze single keyword, we give you analysis for the whole cluster of keywords. Enter your keyword into the search box, go to Top Pages tool that is at SEO Research. Here you'll see the list of pages that are at the top for a given keyword with:

  • keyword quantity in SERP for this query;

  • number of social media shares;

  • potential traffic (number of visits that page will receive if it will hold 1st position on SERP for a keyword).
Search Questions
To create relevant and demanded content, you should spot searching trends and give the answers to questions that users ask search engines. Using Search questions feature you can find the trendy questions in several clicks. Search questions are variations of the suggestions in the form of questions that pop up when you enter a keyword into the search bar.

Serpstat shows all possible search suggestions that include question and looks for it in real time. Enter the keyword you want to search for to the search box, go to Keyword Research module, then choose Content marketing and finally click on Search Questions. All questions are divided into groups according to the question word the query includes. Now you just need to answer this questions in your articles and watch how your content moves to the top :)

Audit: scan up to 150,000 pages monthly

Site Audit is a process for evaluating the healthiness of a website in a number of areas to optimize search engine visibility, usability and conversion. You shouldn't wait until your website gets a filter from search engine to conduct an audit. SEO audit is very similar to taking your car to annual inspection. So that you should carry out it on a regular basis to make sure that your website is working properly.

To start checking your website, go to Audit module and click on Create project.The new project will be added to your project list, now click on Start Audit. Before audit starts, Serpstat lets you set the settings so that you are in charge of your credits and time.
The results of website audit will be displayed at the Audit summary.
Audit Summary
There you'll see SDO (Serpstat Domain Optimization) Score and errors divided into several groups by the priority level. SDO Score is our own metric that shows how well your domain is optimized. It's is a correlation of the errors we found to the total number of errors possible. The score also depends on whether the errors found are critical or not. The higher score, the better.

Errors are divided according to their priority level (high, medium, low, info, viruses), click on any of them to see the list of errors with our tips how to fix them:
By clicking on All issues, you'll see the spreadsheet with the detailed analysis. For example, let's click on Missing Description tag error details, here we see the spreadsheet with link analysis to pages that do not have this tag:
All issues / Missing description tag
Click on any group and see the list of errors sorted from the most crucial to less important ones. After you've fixed some of the errors, you can repeat the audit to check whether you did everything correctly. If yes, this errors will appear at the Fixed group.

Custom overview:

For those users who are not interested in some errors and don't want them to affect the overall score, we added a special feature called Custom overview. Here you'll find a whole list of data received from your website rather than just errors as in other Audit features. So that with Custom overview you are in charge of your website's audit choosing only parameters you need.

Rank Tracker: 15,000 keywords + 10 projects

Positions tracking is an important part of SEO analysis. Track your rankings to see how your SEO efforts impact on rankings, find out which pages and keywords bring you the most traffic, understand what's causing changes in traffic and sales and so on. With Serpstat's Rank Tracking tool you can:
  • Choose an everyday tracking frequency and get relevant data for your domain positions.
Competitors in top
  • Serpstat allows to add domain's competitors to the project. You won't spend your credits for adding competitors to track, if these domains are found in the search results, we will save their data. You can add them without quantity restrictions.
Tracking frequency
  • Serpstat tracks your domain's position for keywords and saves data on 100 domains, which are also ranked in search results for keywords added to the project.
  • get historical rank tracking data from all existing projects. When switching from the Positions report to History, the tool selects a range of seven position checks automatically, and with further actions this value is saved until the user selects another period.

    With one day selected, you can see a table of keywords, volume and positions for that day.
    For the selected period, the table displays the columns for each day from the selected period in separate columns.
Positions history
I will not dwell on launching Rank Tracker, it's quite simple, you just need to follow the guidelines:

Backlinks Analysis: 500 queries per day + 6 million export rows per month

Backlink Analysis tool allows you to see the incoming links of a particular page, analyze the link building strategy of your competitors, improve your rankings and answer the question how to check competitors' backlinks. Here are the features of Serpstat's Backlink analysis tool:
    Backlinks dashboard
    • Referring domains ー here you'll see the list of all outbound links leading to your website. Moreover, you can choose whether you want to get the list of backlinks leading to the entire website with subdomains, just to a particular subdomain or even to a single page.
    • Malicious sites ー a list of links from malicious sites. We use a verification algorithm similar to the algorithms of Google Chrome.
      Malicious sites are those blocked from viewing by Google Chrome (you see a warning if the content that you're trying to see is dangerous or deceptive).
    • Backlinks ー it is a graph of backlinks changes, list of active and lost links
    • External links ー here you can find a list of external links from the analyzed domain

    Keyword Clustering and Text Analytics: 1,500 queries per month

    Keyword Clustering is the process of grouping a set of keywords in such a way that keywords in the same group (called a cluster) are more similar to each other than to those in other groups. The level of similarity/differentiation depends on the set parameters.
      Just create a project, add keywords and choose the clustering method. The tool will help you save your time. Unlike manual clustering, which can take 2-3 days to complete a semantic core of 1000 keywords, automatic clustering from Serpstat takes several tens of minutes.
      Clustering helps to compose the structure of the site by breaking keywords from the semantic core into semantic groups.
      Serpstat Keyword Clustering
      Text Analytics is a tool designed to help you to optimize the text on your page to rank for the whole clusters instead of keywords. It provides you with a list of recommended keywords to use in Title, H1, and Body based on top-15 search results of all keywords.

      Text analysis can be conducted on any of the clusters.
        Serpstat Text Analysis
        This tool will give you recommendations for adding keywords to Title, H1 and Body.
        Here are main indicators:
        1. Proximity level — a score on a scale from 0 to 100% that displays how close a keyword is in terms of semantic similarity to the cluster topic.
        2. Relevance — a relative score that shows how well your page is optimized for the keyword compared with top pages from the SERP. Hover over the color strip to view a minimum, average and maximum relevance score for the keyword among your competitors and your relevance to the keyword as well.

        Text Analysis main indicators
        1. Recommendation words — words suggested for your Title if you see a Not included mark under the Status column. We display words' lemmas in recommended words, but you can use these words in any form tailored to your text intent.
        2. LSI Rank — word's importance for Title on a scale from 0 to 100%. It's calculated as a ratio of the recommended word occurrences to occurrences of other words from the ''bag of words" we collected from Titles of competitor URLs.
        3. Chance — the percentage of competitors from the analyzed group that has the word in Title.
        4. Status — the column may have three values. Included - the word is present in Title on the landing page. Not included - the page doesn't have the word in its Title. Overspam - the word is used too many times in Title compared to other pages from the analyzed group; it's worth removing some of the excessive word occurrences. If you didn't specify the target URL, we'll show the usage of the word's lemma in Title on competitors' pages in the percentage ratio to the overall number of unique words from their Titles - this feature will be useful for content marketers and copywriters.
